Director, Utrecht Office

The successful candidate will be key member of the Voltiq team, involved in all aspects of the advisory process. Core competencies and responsibilities will focus on origination of business opportunities, preparation of pitch books, and execution of transactions.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Conducting transactions

  • Structure and negotiate high-profile global equity and debt transactions
  • Coordinate and execute transactions in collaboration with clients and the internal team
  • Perform deal-captain roles

Development of business opportunities

  • Utilize network of contacts to take advantage of business opportunities
  • Contribute to increasing the volume of transactions where Voltiq acts as advisor
  • Actively participate in the development of long-term strategic alliances

 

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

  • Bachelor/Masters
  • Professional designation (CA, CFA)

Experience

  • Minimum five years experience (ideally ten) in mergers & acquisitions or in investments, preferably as an advisor / investment banker
  • Demonstrated experience in major transactions (of more than 50 million dollars in equity) in Power or Infrastructure 
  • Power or Renewables exposure
  • Used to work in cross-border transactions 

Knowledge and skills

  • Excellent English and Dutch (mother-tongue) due to frequent relations with clients/projects
  • Client driven and “getting deals done” mentality
  • Commercially savvy
  • Strong project execution skills
  • Excellent ability in organizing and setting priorities
