Attero acquires manure processing / future biogas plant Greenferm, The Netherlands

Attero, a leading waste processing and recycling company, has acquired Greenferm's manure processing plant at De Ecofactorij industrial estate in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands. This strategic acquisition marks Attero's first step into manure fermentation, while the company already has extensive experience processing and reprocessing other organic (waste) streams. Attero processes almost half of Dutch vegetable, fruit and garden waste into fertilizer, green gas and bio-LNG. Future biogas production on the basis of anaerobic digestion is planned for the Greenferm processing plant. 

In recent years, Greenferm has developed a proven innovative concept for processing animal slurry, such as cattle, calf and pig manure. The plant in Apeldoorn, with an annual processing capacity of about 350,000 tonnes of manure, complies with the Fertiliser Act and delivers an export-worthy end product with great added value as a soil improver.
