Farm Frites solar park Oudenhoorn financed by Rabobank

Farm Frites, the global leader in potato processing products to the hospitality industry, has closed project finance of their solar park "Oudenhoorn' with Rabobank. The project consists of a 26.6 MWp Solar Installation, partly rooftop, on its production site in The Netherlands. The solar park is currently being constructed and will make the factory solar powered starting 2024.

Farm Frites grows potatoes on 700 sites globally, produces over 1,500,000 tonnes, has 5 production units, 1,500 employees and is exporting its products to more than 100 countries. The solar park contributes to their goals to use more renewable energy in the production process, which is an important part of their sustainability strategy.

Voltiq  was responsible for the commercial and financial development of the solar park: building the business case, advising on selection of contractors, structuring the power offtake, raising and structuring the project finance package, and ensuring bankability of all commercial contracts including the PPA, EPC, O&M, insurance and management contracts. Encon was responsible for the technical development.
