Voltiq and leading Dutch contractor VolkerWessels (2010 turnover eur 4.25 bln) have entered into a cooperation to offer large rooftop solar PV systems in The Netherlands. Prospective customers are offered on- as well as off-balance sheet PV solutions, potentially including long term non recourse project financing, based on a long term PPA.
Annet Boessenkool, Associate Director at Voltiq comments: "Larger rooftop owners in Dutch B2B markets are getting interested in solar PV, as it fosters socially responsible entrepreneurship in a simple and straightforward way. PV panels don't require a long permitting process. And you know that they'll work for the next 30 years".
VolkerWessels Telecom is a relatively new player in the Dutch solar sector. Annet: "Customers of larger systems require a strong and professional service supplier. VolkerWessels Telecom has vast experience in dealing with rooftops from their telecom infrastructure business. Owners don't want any trouble with their roofs in the future, and require a counterparty that is able to honour operational guarantees". Voltiq and VWT typically target systems > 200 kW.
