Hydrogen Project

The Dutch government stimulates hydrogen by investing in the transition to hydrogen usage by key industries, funding renewable hydrogen projects, and supporting the development of a robust hydrogen infrastructure. Key strategies include establishing large-scale electrolysis projects, creating a domestic hydrogen backbone using repurposed gas pipelines, developing international import and export hubs, and using subsidies like IMKE to support the manufacturing of hydrogen components. The government also prioritizes energy diplomacy to position the Netherlands as a hydrogen trade hub and encourages long-term contracts and collaboration between industry and research institutions. 

EDF Renewable Energy is strategically positioning to play a role in the Dutch hydrogen markets.

• Preparation of a short list and ranking of potential partners given (i) EDFR partner requirements, (ii) the tender specifics, and (iii) strengths of potential individual partner(s).
