Rio Maior Solar Farm

Neoen, one of the world’s largest independent power producers, reached Financial Close on the 204 MWp Rio Maior solar PV project in Portugal. Voltiq acted as sole and exclusive green loan arranger and advisor regarding the project. The loan is structured as a full non-recourse project finance scheme.

Voltiq’s work comprised the full scope of work from building the financial model and Infomemo, identifying suitable lenders, through managing due diligence streams and documentation, to assisting in negotiations of the debt package. Voltiq also engaged in bankability of key commercial documentation such as the EPC and O&M contracts.

Together with the Torre Bela project of 72 MWp in the same area, Rio Maior represents the biggest solar PV complex in Portugal.
