Sale of Project Portfolio

Obton sold on behalf of its investors 42 rooftop and land-based solar PV projects to Dutch energy transition company Groendus.

The projects have a total capacity of around 45 MWp and are primarily located on the roofs of commercial & industrial buildings, geographically spread throughout the Netherlands. The projects have been developed and constructed over the period 2018 – 2023 and are subject to the Dutch SDE support mechanism.

Voltiq acted as exclusive sell-side financial advisor to Obton A/S, with activities comprising the full suite of M&A advisory services including transaction design & strategy, building the book of potential investors globally, creation of the multi-asset financial model and Infomemo, running the competitive process, and actively participating in negotiations with the preferred investor. Voltiq also coordinated activities in legal, technical and tax workstreams, and assisted in completion of conditions precedent for closing.
