Alfredo graduated as Economist at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and has more than 15 years of experience in investment banking. Previously, he was a Vice President at Colombian investment bank Bancapital from 2015 to 2018. Before that, Alfredo was responsible for the Investment Banking division of Ultrabursátiles Brokerage House and, at the beginning of his career, he was an investment banking manager at Ágora for 5 years, where he executed mandates including M&A, Project Finance, valuations, privatizations and capital raisings.
Alfredo was invited to participate in the “transition commission” of the Ministry of Infrastructure for the current Colombian Government of President Ivan Duque, supporting in the design of the government plan for 2018-2022.
At Ágora, recent references of Alfredo include the advisory of Grupo Ethus in the LBO of Compañía Petroeléctrica de los Llanos, assisting Infrared Capital Partners in the acquisition of 50% of the shares of Concesión Ruta al Mar (USD 100 M), and the acquisition of Pacific Power Generation (EV USD 220 M).
