Marten Turksema is Associate Director / PPA Expert at Voltiq, and is working with Voltiq since 2019. His background from 1997 is in the traded European energy markets, riding the wave of liberalisation throughout Europe, while developing commercial concepts and operational setups in France, Germany, Italy, Benelux and Scandinavia.
Marten held executive (MD) and non-executive director positions in Sweden, Germany, Netherlands and the UK and worked 10 years at Norsk Hydro with European responsibility for power origination and structuring. Since 2010, Marten focusses entirely on renewable energy contracting and increasingly, flexibility (storage) contracting.
Marten works closely with VoltiQ supporting participants in tenders for offshore wind farm locations (PPA sounding and contracting) and supporting M&A transactions (PPA due diligence).
Marten holds a MSc degree in Electronical Engineering and Computer Sciences from Technical University of Eindhoven and a MBA from Delta University Utrecht. He is fluent in Dutch and English and has a reasonable command of French, Norwegian and German.
