Niels Pietersen is Partner at Voltiq since 2022. He joined Voltiq as Senior Director in 2020. He has over 14 years of experience in financial advisory.
At Voltiq, Niels worked on numerous major equity and debt transactions such as the recent takeover of energy transition company Groendus, by APG and Omers.
Before joining Voltiq, Niels worked for the Investment Banking teams of ABN AMRO and the Royal Bank of Scotland in Amsterdam and London, where he worked on numerous M&A and ECM transactions in the renewable energy, energy infrastructure and cleantech sectors. He has been instrumental in landmark transactions, such as the sale of Eneco to Mitsubishi Corporation and the acquisition of Joulz by 3i Infrastructure.
Niels holds a BSc degree in International Business Administration and a MSc degree in Business Administration from Erasmus University / Rotterdam School of Management. Niels is fluent in Dutch, English and Italian.
