Wim Lansink is Senior Director at Voltiq since 2019. He is responsible for origination and relationship management throughout Asia, with a focus on China. Wim is based in Beijing.
Wim has 22 years of experience in the renewable energy industry across Europe and Asia. In 1998, he built China’s first foreign invested wind power project for the Dutch utility company Nuon (nowadays Vattenfall). Later on he developed a partnership for Dutch renewable energy company Econcern with China National Offshore Oil Corp and Sinohydro to invest $1.09 billion in four renewable energy projects in Asia; at time China’s largest renewable energy deal.
As Senior Vice President and Managing Director Asia Pacific at Nordex, a German wind turbine company, Wim was responsible for the company’s business in Asia including e.g. China, Pakistan, Japan, Thailand and the Philippines. His most recent position before joining Voltiq was Member of the Executive Committee of the Chinese wind giant Goldwind, where he was especially involved in strategy development and in structuring the company’s international business. Wim is fluent in Dutch and English.
