Raoul Ilahibaks is Senior Advisor to Voltiq since 2015. He worked at Voltiq for 5 years, from 2010 until 2015, where he played a pivotal role to Voltiq's development, being instrumental in landmark transactions like the 165 MW Belwind offshore wind sale, and the multi-country wind and solar acquisitions of Canadian pension fund asset manager PSP assisted by Voltiq.
Since 2015 Raoul is based in Nairobi, Kenya, where he previously worked as a Principle for Renewable Energy Investments at ResponsAbility Investments AG, the Swiss responsible asset investor which manages USD 2.6 B invested in assets in 93 countries. He nowadays runs his own investment company called Bazaruto Renewables, developing wind and solar projects across Eastern Africa.
Previous to Voltiq, he was Investment Analyst at Dynamic Credit Partners Europe and PGGM Investments during which he focused on Alternative Investments such as Infrastructure, Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Structured Credit. Prior to working at Dynamic and PGGM, Raoul worked for ABN AMRO Bank as an intern of the Trading & Principal Strategies Group, which was involved in multi strategy proprietary trading across the globe. Raoul is fluent in Dutch and English.
