Currently operating CSP projects in Spain, like the Andasol projects in Andalusia, will provide for an important reference on operational performance given their 4-5 year exploitation record. Although CSP plants have been successfully operating since the eighties, more recently built plants including the latest technologies will be carefully scrutinized by banks as sponsors aim to raise an approximate euro 10 billion in project financing for the first 40 projects to be realized in Spain until 2013.
