In 2012-2013, Voltiq led the sale of EC Bioenergie Heidelberg GmbH, the leading wood pellet & biomass energy company in Germany, headquartered in Heidelberg.

Voltiq, mandated as the exclusive sell-side advisor, executed a detailed project valuation, prepared the Information Memorandum, analyzed all relevant contracts, indentified and tackled potential showstoppers, prepared the dataroom, and coordinated the sales process.

After a restructuring process, the company was sold to one of world's leading wood product manufacturing companies, Josef Rettenmaier & Söhne (JRS).
