Vopak Solar Park Eemshaven

On 17 December 2020, Vopak Terminal Eemshaven (VTEH), a company participated by Whitehelm Capital (Australia), announced the Financial Closing and Start of Construction of Vopak Solar Park Eemshaven.

The 25 MW solar PV project is a co-investment of VTEH and Groningen Seaports, and located adjacent to the Vopak terminal at Groningen's Eemshaven, an area destined to become one of Europe's key zones for the production and storage of renewable energy and green hydrogen. 

Voltiq acted as financial advisor to the sponsors, in charge of arranging the senior debt financing package. Voltiq also engaged in the sourcing and structuring of bankable commercial contracts such as the PPA, the EPC turn key construction contract, and the O&M contract.
